We got my mom, dad, and the grandkids tickets to Disneyland for Christmas last year. So, as you can imagine, it was a LONG 10 months until we were actually able to use them! We took a Beach and Disneyland vacation with my entire family and it was every bit as fun as we had build it up in our minds. My family came down, met us in P-town, stayed the night and went to our ward Primary Program, then we headed off to the happiest place on earth! The hotel we stayed at was awesome and had a cool "Pirates Cove" water park that the kids had a blast on. We only got to use it once because of all the beach and Disney time though!
The first day we went to the beach and can I just tell you that with the exception of Bos-man, everybody LOVED it! I personally didn't think it was nearly warm enough to frolic in the waves, but as you can see, my kids thought otherwise.
They played for at least a couple of hours in the water and loved every second. Robson even managed to hunt down a super cool starfish to show the kids, a kind person on the boardwalk gave them a sand dollar, they played with Uncle Robert in the waves, and even built a sand castle with Uncle Robson. A kids dream I tell ya! Boston, on the other hand, didn't really love the bright sun and breeze so I spent most of my time pushing the stroller along the boardwalk with Alecia, Vienna, and my mom. Believe me, things could have been much worse. :)
Up Next? The Happiest Place on Earth!
