Pop Quiz . . . . .

Which one is the real baby?

This is just one of many games that Ava loves to play with Kai. Here she is reading to the little guy. It's almost like she thinks she has a new doll to go along with Carson and Kalel (pictured above).

Kai's Newborn Shoot . . . . .

Seriously? Could I love them any more?

This is Kai's nursery and the darling crib blanket my mom made for him!

One of my VERY favorite!

Family Pics . . . . . .

I may be a little prejudice, but I think I have a pretty cute family! :) We had our pictures taken a couple of weeks ago, 12 days after Kai was born! We did his newborn photos and I decided we might as well take the opportunity to get our family pics done too since I don't like having our family picture up without Kai in it. Ava was "smiling" in all of them. I didn't realize during pictures what her smile was looking like though! I love it because it's totally her personality. Missy Hancock was the photographer and she did such a great job! I put a link to her website on the side of my blog.

Spring Flowers . . . . .

A couple of weeks ago I decided we needed to get our flowers planted. Normally, I would have done it the day Kai was born, right after Mother's Day. Obviously, that wasn't going to work this year so we planted them as soon as I felt up to it! Well, as soon as I felt up to being outside and telling Randy where to plant everything. :) We planted marigolds, petunias, tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers. I feel so much better when our yard is taken care of. It's similar to having a clean house I guess. Anyway, Ava had so much fun and even got to plant her own little pot of flowers. She is now in charge of taking care of it and loves to water it. Shout out to my husband for doing all of the work! Love you babe!

Hard Labor:

Once again, here is Kai during all of the fun:

That was fun!!

What Tastes Better than a S'more in the Mountains?

A S'more on our front porch! We wanted to go up the canyon and make s'mores last Sunday but it was just too cold. Randy brought out our little grill and we cooked 'em right up! Yummy!

We also made it to daddy's softball game the other night. It was a little rainy, but we still had so much fun! Even Kai! Can't you tell from the pics he was having a blast?

A lot going on . . . . . . .

There has been a lot going on lately. I LOVE the beginning of summer. Granted, this beginning has been a little chillier and wetter than most, but I still love it because we're actually having a real spring! We're still surviving with our little family of four. Ava is, well, a 3 year old. She's super stubborn, strong headed, and can be pretty naughty, but she is so much fun I can't even stand it. Then there's Kai. My angel baby. He is so good and so sweet and he is even smiling. Here are some pics of what has been happening recently.

Ava got a new bubble machine and couldn't have been more thrilled!

And this is Kai while we play with bubbles and the pool:

We had a family night at the ice cream shop and it was so fun to sit outside and relax. Ava was very impressed with the rock that played music and wanted to "take a smile" with it. She also wanted to "take a smile" with Kai. :)

Just a couple of cute pictures of my babies!
