Arizona 2012

My cousin Nic called and invited Randy to play in a Baseball tournament with his team in Arizona this year.  You heard me right, baseball, not softball.  I don't think he's pitched a game in at least 11 years, BUT of course we went, Randy got back into his old groove, and we had a blast.  There are a bunch of families on the team so the dads play games, the moms chat and chase kids, and the kids play and run all over the place.  The games take place in a few different fields and stadiums so there was a new place to explore every single day for our kids.  We had a BLAST with Nic, Trudi and their kids and we are so glad we went!
Yep - my man's still got it.  What a hunk!  The clincher for me falling in love with Randy was seeing him pitch for the first time 9 years ago so it was so fun to see him play again!  It was also really fun to see Nic play because growing up as cousins, I watched him play baseball quite a bit.  It's just crazy that we've come full circle and are now making more memories as grown ups with our little families!  (I use the term "grown-up" loosely - I'm not sure if we've actually matured any, but we are certainly getting older) :)
The kids had a blast.  They literally played, played, and played some more for 4 days straight.  Boston was a little champ and his usual angel self, but I did manage to snag a few pics of him saying, "I've had about enough of this!"

Boston was really good about napping and eating pretty much anywhere.  I guess by the time the 3rd kid comes around they just learn to roll with the punches and go with the flow.  He slept on the bleachers, in the stroller, and in his bouncer under an umbrella at the pool.  Wow - writing this all out makes me want to go back to do it all again!

Trudi and I had a blast - especially the night we went through the McDonalds drive through and ordered 40 chicken nuggets along with fries and drinks.  You would have thought we were feeding the entire team, but it was just for our 2 little families!  We had a good laugh about that.  Kai and Nixon also wore the exact same outfit one day without us doing any planning.  They thought that was pretty cool.  In fact, when Nixon came to our door at the hotel that morning I said to him, "Kai has that shirt!" while pointing to the shirt he was wearing.  He got all wide-eyed and said, "So do I!"  So cute.  They were like 2 peas in a pod and had so much fun. (Oh - and I don't have any pictures of cute Taytum because she was less than cooperative for my camera - ha ha)
We also had a ton of swimming time.  We were able to get a sweet deal at a Marriott resort and the pool was to die for.  It was absolutely gorgeous and had a really fun slide that we all went down over and over.
Sometimes it's hard taking vacations with kids and babies when you consider the driving, eating, sleeping at hotels etc., but it is so worth it when you look back on the pictures and realize what a fun time it was!  I'll leave you with this little gem of a picture.  Have you seen anything cuter? I think not. :)

3 Months . . . . .

My sweet baby boy turned 3 months on September 25! These pictures definitely don't show his usual happy self, but apparently it was what we had to work with that day. He still has the cutest expressions and is getting so big! It makes me sad and happy all at once because he isn't teeny tiny anymore, but he's getting such a personality and is SOOO fun!

And then Ava got a hold of my camera and had herself a photoshoot with her little brothers.  I love it!

Fall Festivities . . . .

We went to a baptism for a family friend in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and decided to make it a family day - Las Vegas Style.  Of course, we went to the Bellagio to see the conservatory.  It's awesome and they change it every season.  I would definitely suggest you go if you're ever in the area!  Plus, on top of that you can see the water show out front which is always neat.  My kids love it.

We then headed over to the Flamingo to see the flamingo habitat.  The kids liked it.  There were a lot of big fish, ducks, and of course, flamingos.  :)

We also went to the fall festival here in P-Town.  The kids loved it.  The adults, well, we were just happy the kids were happy. The merry go round is always a favorite and they even got to do the bungee trampoline on the way out.  True to form, Ava was pretty nervous, but smiled for the camera.  She didn't want to do anything too adventurous and was happy with a few high bounces.  Kai on the other hand, did basically whatever the guy told him to do and he was flipping all over the place.  Eventually he wanted to get down because I think he started getting a little sick! :)

The last couple of pictures involve a last and a first.  Ava's two bottom front teeth are getting VERY loose, so I wanted to make sure I had a good picture of her baby teeth before they come out!  *tear*  I can't believe she's growing up so fast!  The other picture is Boston's first time in a big stroller.  It was a little sunny, but he loved it and quickly fell asleep for the walk.  I love my kids.

Fall in P-Town . . . .

Fall in P-town is VERY different than fall in Utah.  For one thing, there is NO swimming going on in September up there!

Cute Kids!  Ava and Kai love to have Boston watch cartoons with them.
Girls Night Out to Wicked!  It was FABULOUS even if our seats were ridiculously high and the ushers loved their jobs way too much.  Then there is a cute picture of Boston headed out on the town with daddy. :)
A couple of pictures from Randy's SIX month long softball season and more of the kids.  They love the Ipad.
Lazy Days at the pool.
Happiest baby on the planet.  No lie.
And some craft projects from the big kids.  I just love watching their little hands do things like this!  I don't want to forget it.

Lady Bugs . . . . .

Ava had a great season with the "Ladybugs" and daddy as her coach. The first game was RIDICULOUSLY hot if you can't tell by Ava's little red face. She played hard most of the time and loved hanging out with her soccer buddies. We had practice on Tue, Thur and then a game on the weekend, so soccer was a big part of our life!

Kai had to wear his soccer shirt to almost every practice and game, which meant it got a little worn out.  Ava had some really good friends on her team including Courtney and Ashley, Kennedy and Bailey (her cute triplet friends).  I was lucky enough to sit and chat with the moms and we all had a great time.
In place of practice one day, we threw a soccer swimming party complete with pizza and fun.
