My baby boy is 9 months old today! I can't believe it. He has been such a blessing and a joy in our lives. He is always happy and always smiling. Every morning, I completely forgive him for not sleeping all night when I see that smile. :) I took him in for his 9 month appointment a couple of days ago. He is 29" tall (80%) and 18 lbs 6 oz (20%). He's still super tall and super skinny. He is crawling around like a maniac! He's hard to keep track of. Ava's started moving our ottoman to block him off so he can't get out of the family room. He crawls up the stairs at lightning speed then stands at the top shaking it until someone either comes and gets him or lets him through the gate. He LOVES his sister so much. Even though 90% of his injuries come directly from her, she is still his favorite person. He doesn't have any teeth yet but it seems like the bottom 4 could pop through any second. He loves to go in the stroller, loves to swing, and loves tubby time. I'll say it again: I CANNOT believe he's this old. It feels like he was just born.

Dairy Field Trip . . . . .
Ava got to go on her first field trip last week to a dairy. We were so excited (yes, we). I kept telling her about the cows we were going to see and how much fun it would be. I guess I'm used to a small town dairy, not a big city dairy, because there were no cows. At least not any real ones. It was so much fun though! They had talking barn animals that told all about the dairy, we got to see how all the milk is manufactured and turned into the things we eat, and we even got ice cream at the end. It was such a blast.

Happy as Always. I think my kids look a lot alike in these two pictures.

There was a part of the tour that involved thunder and fog and Ava was scared to death, to say the least. Always a professional, she was able to reign in her fear for a quick picture. :)

The best part of the tour and what all of the kids were waiting for. The ice cream!

St. George . . . . .
With Grandma and Grandpa! We had SUCH a fun time. We ate a lot of good food, watched softball, and hung out with cousins. We even managed to eat some Nielsen's custard which was DELICIOUS! Ava played and played with the princess game that Grandma brought her and Kai just enjoyed all of the attention. The only way it could have been better is if it would have been a bit warmer. Me and Vicki were freezing, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Thanks for such a fun time!

Here are the kids playing in the hall at the basketball game. I have no idea why they were all crawling.

I am grateful . . . .
for my family. I am so lucky to be a mom to these two precious souls and a wife to the greatest man ever. Life can be hard. There are always trials and things get rough, but when things are put in perspective, I realize that things are truly good and I have been blessed.
I was blog stalking and found this amazing story. You'll be glad you took the time to read it:

What Happens in Vegas . . . . . .
Stays in Vegas . . . .

This was the playroom when we were moving in. Do you think we have enough toys?

The kids before church on our first Sunday in Vegas. It was Ava's first day of Primary. I can't believe she's a Sunbeam! She absolutely loves Primary and her teachers. Taking her to nursery was a total nightmare. Thank goodness Primary is proving to be just the opposite.

We've started feeding Kai everything that we eat, with some exceptions, and he is LOVING it! Here he is with the classic Spaghetti. It is a disaster to clean up after he eats, but worth every second to watch him eat it! He's almost 9 months old. Is that too young to be feeding him big people food? I really don't know and at this point, it's too late to go back. :)

We had some friends over the other night that have a cute little Pomeranian named Isabelle. Ava was in heaven and Kai was well, happy one second and scared to death the next. All we heard all night was Ava yelling, "Isabella!" She ran around with her all night, played tag, and gave her every toy imaginable. I hope that will last Ava for a while because the chances of us getting a tiny inside dog that I would have to potty train is slim to none. Plus, it would never be acceptable to my father who has said on numerous occasions, "that's a waste of an animal." Hee Hee.
