I had to throw this one in here. This is Randy wearing my grandpa's infamous red robe. I have to say he looks great in it!

What GREAT Great Grandparents . . . .
I have the best grandparents in the entire world. I promise. They have been the most supportive, caring, and wonderful people I have ever come across. When we were in high school, they attended almost every single event any of the 9 grandkids were involved in. Everybody in my home-town knew them about as well as my own mom and dad! Not only are they the best grandparents, but now they're the best GREAT grandparents to Ava and Kai. They even come to all of Randy's softball games too! I have lived with them 2 different times in my life. Once when I was in college, and once when I had a husband and baby with me! :) They are the most active 70+ people in the world too! They bike, golf, bowl, and are service missionaries, among other things. They are the funnest, most generous people ever and we are so lucky to have them! These were taken a couple of weeks ago after Randy's softball game.

Softball . . . . . . . .
Randy plays a lot of softball, which Ava and I LOVE! (Eventually, I bet Kai will love it too.) He plays with a really great group of friends and luckily for me, I love their wives and kids! Since we're making the big trek down to Sin City soon, our last night of playing with them was a couple of weeks ago so I took a few pictures for memory and blog's sake. :) We are going to miss these families so much! We're expecting LOTS of visits! Love you all!

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa . . . .
We spent a Sunday down in Richfield a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun! Ava loved playing ball, bubbles, and books with grandma. Randy and I loved the food. :) The conversation was great too. We love spending time in Richfield and can't wait to do it again! My kids LOVE their grandma and grandpa!

Sun Valley & Don Felder . . . .
Who is Don Felder you ask? Points for you if you know, but I'll get to that later. We were able to go to Sun Valley with my family again this year. It has become a yearly tradition and it is always a blast. Every year my dad says it will probably be the last year, but every year come August, we head up to Idaho. (Did you know Arnold Schwarzenegger, among other celebrities, frequents this beautiful place? We actually saw him and his family there one year. True Story.) Anyway, in typical Sun Valley fashion, we eat, swim, relax, and then repeat. What a good time. Everybody was there this year except Jessica. :( We missed her. Our condo was a little ways away from everything so we walked A LOT to get to where we wanted to go. Luckily I had my trusty double jogger. (I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I love my stroller.) In addition to our usual lounging, we got to attend a concert in their new outdoor amphitheatre. Enter Don Felder. Eagles Band Member. Wrote Hotel California. Is this ringing a bell with anyone? Anyway, Don (yep - we're on a first name basis), was a great entertainer. He sang all of the great Eagles songs and we had a blast. Especially my dad. I can give credit to my dad for being able to recognize great songs and bands from the 70's. Thanks dad. :) Anyway, I think my new slogan for our Sun Valley trip is, from the mouth of Don himself, "Take it Easy." Thanks for the good times mom and dad!
Kai relaxing in Daddy's arms . .
Ava refusing to smile . .
I ((heart)) my stroller . .
Why is sitting in an oversized rocking chair so much fun? I don't know, but it absolutely is!
The picture of the trip. Ava's little pony. I thought when Ava became a photographer she would be a bit more abstract. Not so much.
Ladies and Gentleman, I present Don Felder! (Did you know he was instrumental in bringing a harder rock style to the Eagles? Just a fun fact)
Swimming and relaxing (We needed this after our week from you know where the week before)

Splash Park Goodbye Party!!
My great friend Valerie put together a goodbye party for us the week we moved out. She had to plan quick because we moved out so fast! In true young mommy, young kids fashion, we went to a fun splash park. It was so fun for me to visit with my friends and of course Ava had a blast with all of her little buddies! Val even made some delicious cupcakes that I managed to give a thorough taste test. :) It was a blast and we are going to miss our Pilgrim's Landing friends so much! Thanks for everything Val!
